Vic Winters’ research is concerned with the influence of architectural digital imagery on our lived environment. His project Utopia & Erratum questions architectural renderings in a twofold way: how they sustain outdated visions for the future, and obstruct alternative imaginaries. Through theory, fieldwork and research-by-design methods, different ways of imaging architecture are investigated.
Vic is a PhD Researcher at KU Leuven’s Faculty of Architecture in Brussels. Beside ARP, he is a member of the Radical Saturation research cell, and part of the research group Material Narratives. His PhD project ‘Utopia & Erratum’ is funded by the FWO (Research Foundation – Flanders) and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Pieterjan Ginckels and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Filip Mattens.
In 2024, Vic received his Master’s diploma in Architecture at KU Leuven in Brussels as Laureate of the program. Before, he completed an Academic Bachelor in History at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) in 2019.
